Philly

It's impossible to tell about all the unforgettable moments I've spent with my friends from  the bulgarian "village" in Philadelphia - as they call it themselves! :-) - in 1996-1999.

They were amazing! They were partying every weekend, and even more often :-)!

I met a lot of new bulgarian friends in Philadelphia, most of them students in master or Ph.D. degrees in the three Philadelphia universities. It has ever been a joy to get together, dance, sing all kinds of songs, watch bulgarian films from the "old" times (and russian too!), barbecuing ...

Genadi and Krasimira Lazarov

I know all these amazing friends from Philly thanks to very close these friends of mine.

I met Genadi in the cold winter at the end 1985 when we were just "freshmen" in the army :-) His accordion brought lots of happy moments in our tough life as soldiers. During the student years in Sofia (he studied Physics) we've enjoyed many parties together singing, dancing and wondering why the forks are not falling from the top of the bottle :-).

In the end of september 1990 he married Krasimira. It's not only me who wonders the hidden harmony of their marriage ...

He went to study for Ph.D. at Temple University, Philadelphia in august 1995. Krasimira and Stoyan followed him at Christmas the same year.

Every time I stay at their house I enjoy the time talking for the real things of life, the music Genadi plays with his accordion, the peace and hospitality Krassi keeps at their home, and the games and toys we play together with their beloved son Stoyan remembering the days of my childhood ... and all the time I feel amazing!
